Cultural Revitalization
I believe our government has made agreements in the past that were not in the best interest of the Tribe. One can argue that not much has changed. Our land and natural resources are vital to the preservation of our people and culture. There are many things we can do to enforce our hunting and fishing regulations on tribal members but not much can be done to non members. This is an injustice to our people and an infringement on our sovereignty. If elected I will work diligently to reaffirm our usufructuary rights in the 1855 ceded territory as well as lobby towards a co-management system that ensures Tribal hunting and fishing in all of our ceded territories.
